Abstract: | Neuromyotonia is a rare, acquired, probably autoimmune disorder of peripheral nerve hyperexcitability causing continuous muscle fiber activity or myokymia, grip myotonia and muscle hypertrophy. Nerve conduction studies are usually normal while electromyography shows repetitive high frequency discharges. We describe a case of neuromyotonia associated with rare phenomenon of motor and F wave hyperexcitability on nerve conduction studies. |
