Welcome to the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth

The Learning Resource Center at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is a central hub for academic and research activities, catering to the information needs of students, researchers, faculty, and alumni. Enrolled students, researchers, and current faculty members of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed University are eligible for library membership.

Infrastructure

• Building and Environment: Our LRC is housed in a spacious two-storied building surrounded by lush gardens, providing a serene and conducive environment for study and research.
• Reading Rooms: We offer centrally air-conditioned reading rooms with a seating capacity for 650 students, designed to support both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Facilities

• Computer Lab: Equipped with a high-speed 1 GBPS NKN leased line internet connection, our computer lab enables seamless access to a variety of e-resources.
• Centralized Access: Enjoy centralized access to a vast array of academic and research materials across multiple disciplines.
• Faculty Lecture Recording: We offer facilities for recording faculty lectures, ensuring that valuable teaching sessions are preserved and accessible for future reference and student learning.
• First Floor Reprography Services: Comprehensive reprography services, including xeroxing, printing, and binding, are available on the first floor. These services are designed to support the academic and administrative needs of the users.

• Remote Access to Library Services: All library services are accessible remotely, providing users with the ability to access e-resources, academic materials, and research databases from anywhere. This ensures continuous learning and research support, regardless of the user's location. Service effect on July 1st.

• Knowledge Update: Our library services are available to students, staff, and faculty members, supporting research, teaching, and continuous learning.
• Regular Collection Updates: We continually update our knowledge base with new textbooks, reference books, proceedings, national and international journals, and databases.
• Computerized Records: Utilizing KOHA 21.5 software, we maintain computerized records for efficient information retrieval and simultaneous access.
• Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC): Our OPAC system ensures easy access to our extensive collection of books and journals.
• Internet Resources: We identify and provide links to valuable internet resources through our library's web page.
• Consortium Memberships: As members of consortia like DELNET, we facilitate resource sharing among member institutions.

Technological Integration

• Library Management Software: Our use of KOHA 21.5 software automates library services, enhancing efficiency and user experience.
• Institutional Repository: We have developed an institutional repository using Dspace open-source software, accessible on the intranet. This repository houses project reports, theses, dissertations, and faculty publications, making scholarly work easily accessible within our institution.
