1. Who can be a Member of the Learning Resource Center?
Registered Members like Students, Faculty members, Staff Members, and Special Members of SVDU.
2. What is the procedure for registration in LRC?
Collect the Library Registration Form from Account Section, fill it with the Department Head's signature, and submit it to the Circulation Counter in LRC.
3. How many books can be borrowed by the members?
Students: 2 Books
Faculty Members: 2 Books
Staff Members: 2 Books
Faculty Members: 2 Books
Staff Members: 2 Books
4. Can I borrow Journals for overnight or for a short period?
No, Journals are not issued outside the library for students. Only HOI's and HOD's can issue journals.
5. Can I suggest a purchase of book for the Library Collection?
Yes, suggestions are placed before the Library Advisory Committee (LAC) for approval. Purchase is not guaranteed but your participation is encouraged.
6. Can I renew an issued book for another 7 days?
Yes, but check with the circulation counter whether the book is reserved by someone else.
7. How do I update my contact information?
Visit any Learning Resource Center and complete an account update form. Bring your photo ID, proof of new address, and library card.
8. What do I do about fines?
Fines must be paid directly at the Learning Resource Center Circulation Desk.
9. Why is my library account blocked?
Your account may be blocked due to:
- Fines over the limit
- Overdue recalled books
- Expired or invalid address
- Expired Library Card

10. Where can I learn more about the Libraries' Electronic Resources?
Visit the Library web page for information and links to electronic resources.
11. Do you have a list of new books?
Yes, updated monthly. Check the Library Website for the latest list.
12. How do I request an inter-library loan?
Search the LRC catalog, then request the item personally or via mail to librarian@sumandeepvidyapeethdu.edu.in. Provide detailed information (author, title, ISBN, etc.). Library confirms via DELNET before issuing.
13. I can’t find the answer to my question in these FAQ – where can I get more help?
Contact the Learning Resource Center via mail or call.
14. Can I issue Thesis/Dissertation/Reference Books?
No. You can refer to them in the library (Stack/Reading area) and print the required articles.
